NJC has taken on the role of principal contractor working directly for the Parish Church of St Andrews in Newcastle upon Tyne.  The project is now underway and we are responsible for completing various structural alterations and building works followed by the internal fit out which will incorporate ceilings, partitions, plumbing and heating, plastering, electrical and a full joinery package.   The finished product will provide office space in a desirable city centre location.

Calibrate Energy Engineering have appointed NJC to complete extensive fire proofing works at their latest project in Consett.  The factory unit when operational will produce heat and electricity from sustainable biomass wood chips through a process called gasification.  Due to the nature of this process NJC are carrying out important fire proofing works to create fire compartments, ensuring the safety of the operatives in the building if a fire broke out whilst operational.  The four week program is expected to finish next week.

NJC is also pleased to announce we have employed another site supervisor this month.  As standard procedure and part of our management strategy we allocate a site supervisors to each and every one of our projects.  All of our supervisors hold a minimum of SSSTS, 1 day first aid, CSCS and asbestos awareness and are all from a trade background.
